Our profession is our passion

STELLA Egger-BULT (VET)

Since my early childhood I was always convinced to become a veterinarian some day. After school I decided to make my dream come true and started studying veterinary medicine at the University of Bern. Graduated from vet school I returned to Basel, where I first worked as an assistant and later became the managing vet of Kleintierpraxis Sevogel.

After exciting years of experience at „Sevogel“, I decided to move on and open my own business. My practice is located in the area where I grew up and have grown fond of - the St. Alban Quartier - hence the name „Dalbe“ which stands short for St. Alban.

In November 2022 I have completed my degree as veterinary dental practitioner and I am now treating my dental patients with passion on a daily basis. On a monthly basis I am instructing dental students going through the dental practitioner program.

I dream of Dalbevet growing into a unique, independent community practice where patients and owners not only feel welcome but are also looked after individually and according to their needs. I truly care about every single pet stepping over my doorstep and love seeing healthy patients go back home.

Geraldine Bray (Vet)

Geraldine Bray has joined our team as a practicing vet beginning of 2021. Raised in Muttenz, by German and Australian parents, she visited the International School Basel before studying in Scotland, where she finished vet school at the University of Edinburgh in 2015.

For 4 years she worked in different first opinion practices in the UK while concurrently volunteering in shelter work and neutering programs in different parts of the world (Africa, Europe, Caribbean…) to gain clinical and surgical experience. Besides her love for travels combined with charity work she currently expands her knowledge and education in “One Health” at the University of Glasgow. One health strives toward the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.

Thanks to her bilingualism she shares our passion in communication with our English speaking clients and is especially fond of feline visits.

Selina Thomas (Vet)

Selina Thomas has been supporting our team since September 2023. She grew up in the neighborhood named "Dalbe." After completing her high school education at Gymnasium am Münsterplatz, she moved to Bern to study veterinary medicine. Following the completion of her studies, she worked as a doctoral student in the Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, earning her doctoral degree in the summer of 2023.

Despite her studies and work in Bern, her heart never stopped beating for Basel. She returned to her hometown and has been enriching our team ever since. For her, this also completes a circle, as her family cats have been regular and satisfied patients at the Dalbe Veterinary Practice for quite some time.

In addition to her love for Basel, Selina's heart beats for all animals, big and small. With a lot of love and joy in her profession, she enjoys taking care of your four-legged friends.

Sarah Huber (Nurse)

makes the magic happen behind our scenes. Thanks to her experience, her personal interest and her higher education in business management, she makes sure that our cupboards are always filled with medications and bandages for our patients as well as coffee and chocolates for the staff. If she isn‘t busy counting our stocks, she is caring for our patients as a certified osteopath.

claudia Heinzelmann (Nurse)

is our tooth fairy. With higher education as a dental hygienist for pets, she creates the brightest of smiles by cleaning patients teeth but also by providing expert advise to pet owners. Besides liking to smile herself, she also loves all kinds of surprises for the team.

Larissa Bühler (Nurse)

brings broad experience in dermatology to the team. If your pet is bugged, she knows exactly how to find and fight any nasty parasite. Besides fighting the parasitic itch, she can also advise on a dietary switch and knows a whole lot not only about fleas but also about allergies.
